this hotel was almost a good stay, until the odd lack of proper storage made everything feel cramped, and the air conditioning left me chilly while others suffered heat. I almost expected a courtesy upgrade for my troubles, but did I get it? heck no. Just the same sad room experience. disappointing, really.

The family enjoyed our three-night stay due to its great location near attractions like Higashi-Honganji and several coffee shops, perfect for immersing ourselves in Kyoto's culture. The little kitchen was a nice perk, making it easy to have snacks and meals without needing to eat out constantly. Though we did notice some stains on the blankets, the staff was accommodating and friendly, which added to our overall experience. We would definitely come back if we're in the area again!

Our stay was filled with delightful surprises, like when the staff moved our bags to our room while we explored Kyoto. The traditional aesthetics felt cozy and welcoming.

While the bathroom had a slight moisture odor, it didn't overshadow our lovely experience overall. Just a bit more ventilation would do wonders.
